Industry news · 2 July 2026

On 2 July 2026 the Uganda Tourism Board announced the arrival of a two-member delegation from Roc Nation, the global entertainment and sports agency. The group landed at Entebbe International Airport and carried out a destination site inspection from 2 to 5 July.

The delegation was led by Michael R. Yormark, president of Roc Nation Sports International and co-CEO of Roc Nation Unified. Based in London, he leads the company’s global football and sports expansion and has worked on brand, sponsorship and commercial strategy for several leading athletes.

The tourism angle

UTB described the visit as part of its marketing and partnership work ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations in 2027. UTB’s chief executive, Juliana Kagwa, called it a golden opportunity to place the Pearl of Africa on the global stage, pairing attractions such as mountain gorillas and cultural heritage with Roc Nation’s sports marketing expertise.
